After going through a difficult divorce at the age of 45, I went in search of ways to heal myself. In the process, I got in the best shape of my life and found my new mission in life: to inspire the broken-hearted everywhere into action, especially those who went through what I experienced: an extremely painful heartbreak. I want to inspire them into realizing that growth and genuine happiness comes through overcoming adversity, seeking discomfort, and taking chances.
The end of a marriage or relationship is not the end of the world, but a new beginning. There’s a saying: “Some women are lost in the fire. Some women are built from it.” I was built from the fire. And in going through the fire, I learned these life lessons (courtesy of Yes Theory):
- It’s never too late to start.
- Action is the antidote to despair.
- Joy grows when it’s shared.
- One “Yes” can change your life.
- A stranger is a friend you haven’t met yet.
- On the other side of fear hides ultimate bliss.
It’s my hope that people find value through my experiences. You’ll definitely see me falling down and getting back up; fumbling around sometimes as I go on extreme adventures (skydiving, hiking a snowy mountain wearing only shorts & sports bra, jumping off a cliff into icy cold water), meet new people and just generally making things happen instead of sitting around as life passes me by.
And most importantly… making mistakes that all humans make. I’ll just find a way to turn that into a life lesson that hopefully will help you and prevent you from making the same mistakes.
My journey of living an Unstoppable Life should empower you with the belief that, despite what happened and the pain you’re going through, your best life is yet to come.
Living an unstoppable life requires daily, deliberate practice. And to help me stay focused, I teach what I practice.
Through teaching and sharing what I’ve learned, I help myself as well as help others. Because the best way to retain what we’ve learned is to teach it.
As my journey is your guide to survival now, someday, you will tell your story of how you’ve overcome what you’re going through now and it will become part of someone else’s survival guide.
